So the next stop on our road trip of cake shows was Westminster, MD for the Great American Cake Show. This show as much smaller than the last, but still loads of fun! The highlight of the show was, no doubt, taking a class with Susan Carberry. She's so awesome! She's not only talented, but so nice and funny as well! We also ran into some of the friends we made in Va. The cake world, is a small world!
There was some amazing talent among the cakes entered into the competitions. They ranged from 6 tier wedding cake, to small, 6 inch birthday cakes, to foot tall chocolate sculptures. We'll add in some pictures soon for you to see!
As always, the Cake Devils had a blast at the show and even more fun after the show! We had quite an adventure trying to watch a movie in the hotel room on Saturday night. We laughed so much that weekend, that we cried. We had quite a surprise when we sat down and Cake Devil Stacy had a stomach ache from laughing too hard when Cake Devil Erica had a Mike & Ike thrown at her head!
And for the record... no. There is not a DVD player in the hotel room.
